Hi, I’m Brian Roth I grew up in Omaha Nebraska, on Carter Lake as a member of the Silver Hawks ski club. My family vacations were always to Table Rock or Lake of the Ozarks, so I was always on the water as a kid. In college I worked at a sports camp in Maine teaching skiing and wakeboarding with a crazy crew from New Zealand, I thought it was best I grow my hair out and pierce my ears. Not a good look for me!
I moved to Denver in 2005, shortly after that I met Tommy and expressed my interest in working in the water sports industry. He asked me to handwrite my resume and bring it in. After about 22 drafts and a very sore hand I brought it to him and he offered me a job, (I don’t think he ever read my resume).
I’m really stoked on how far surfing has come, after knee, shoulder, rib and eardrum injuries I was spending less and less time behind the boat, surfing has gotten be more time on the water, thank you Surf Gate!
