Tommy’s exists to be the number one full service provider to the water sports enthusiast, at all levels. We recognize that we are building a community and a lifestyle, as well as selling products. Tommy’s does this by carrying a variety of quality products, as well as employing the most knowledgeable and passionate staff and providing the highest level of customer service in the industry. Our customers will have a competitive price, an excellent selection, and amazing service, which will give Tommy’s long-term stability and growth, allowing us to give back to the communities that we are a part of.



1982 - After years of being active in the water sports community and teaching hundreds of people how to ski, Tommy Phillips decided to start a company that could serve all the needs of the water sports enthusiast. He opened shop on North Sheridan in Denver, Colorado and Tommy’s Slalom Shop was born! Tommy’s offered new boat sales, a full service department and a huge array of water sports equipment and accessories. Over the years Tommy’s grew and grew to become the destination for the water sports enthusiast. 2012 - Tommy was looking for someone with a similar vision to take over the company. At the same time Matt Borisch was exploring starting a store similar to Tommy’s in Northern Michigan. The two connected and Tommy’s had a new owner! The best part was Tommy Phillips agreed to stay on and provide his expertise to the business. Tommy’s also purchased a dealership in Orlando, Florida at the end of 2012 and rebranded it as Tommy’s Florida. 2013 - Matt was able to realize his vision of a Tommy’s in Michigan, when Tommy’s Michigan opened in June of 2013 in the renovate Walloon Lake Village. Like the other locations, Tommy’s Michigan offered boat sales, boat service and an extensive selection of the best water sports gear and accessories. 2014 - Tommy’s moved their existing Florida location to Clermont and opened a new facility in Clearwater. 2015 – Wait and see! We have exciting things planned!

Performance Guarantee

Tommy’s provides every customer who buys a hard good* with our famous Performance Guarantee; a plan designed to ensure customer satisfaction. The purchase of any new, current year, hard good in stock entitles the purchaser to the benefits of the Performance Guarantee, which allows the customer to exchange the hard good, as many times as necessary, until the customer is satisfied. The product must be exchanged with like product (ie. a ski can only be exchanged with a ski). The Performance Guarantee is valid for 30 days after original date of purchase.

The customer may trade up by simply paying the difference in purchase price as long as the equipment is traded in as “as new” condition. Trade equipment will be pro-rated based on visible damage. A qualified member of Tommy’s staff will determine the percentage of pro-ration.

A store credit will be issued in the event a customer desires to trade down. No refunds will be given in the event of a trade down. The customer is responsible for return shipping of the used product as well as shipping charges for the new product. Some shipping rates may not be accurate due to oversized items. In these cases, our staff will email you with the correct freight cost.

* hard good is any ski, wakeboard, wakesurfer, binding, wake skate, standup paddle board, or kneeboard.

    We go and start to look at the boat, and it was very clear for the moment I met Travis, he loved his job, and loved the water.     To sum this up, you have a great staff of people, even the people whose names I don't remember in the Clearwater store, all so nice, all talked and welcomed us every time. And not to forget about your detail person, amazing!

    Travis made me not only want to have a long relationship with Tommy's, but I plan to spread the word of this awesome experience and your great people. Travis is one in a million, and I am very thankful he helped me see that the boat was totally me…
